1. Jessica Watson

Jessica Watson, born on May 18, 1993, is a famous Australian sailor who hails from Port Campbell. She gained international recognition by becoming the youngest person to sail solo, non-stop, and unassisted around the world at the age of 16. Jessica's tremendous achievement, known as the "World Circumnavigation," took place from 18 October 2009 to 15 May 2010.

2. Leigh Hobbs

Leigh Hobbs, born on April 18, 1953, is an esteemed Australian children's author and illustrator. He was born in Melbourne but grew up in Port Campbell. Hobbs has created various iconic characters, including Old Tom, Horrible Harriet, and Mr. Chicken. His creative work has been recognized with several prestigious awards, such as the Children's Book Council of Australia's Picture Book of the Year.

3. Noel Turnbull

Noel Turnbull, born on July 16, 1949, is a renowned Australian journalist, academic, and media commentator. While not directly from Port Campbell, he has strong connections to the area as his grandparents were early settlers in the region. Turnbull has contributed significantly to the field of journalism, serving as the Editor-in-Chief of The Herald and Weekly Times and working with various prominent media organizations.

4. The Gibson Sisters

The Gibson Sisters were a popular Australian musical trio hailing from Port Campbell. Comprised of three siblings, Gail, Gaye, and Kaye Gibson, they gained fame in the 1960s and 1970s for their beautiful harmonies and engaging performances. The sisters achieved success with their hit songs such as "Que Sera Sera," "Cuba Libre," and "Marcella."

5. Lachie Whitfield

Lachie Whitfield, born on May 18, 1994, is a professional Australian rules footballer who was raised in Port Campbell. He currently plays for the Greater Western Sydney Giants in the Australian Football League (AFL). Whitfield has showcased exceptional talent and versatility on the field, earning numerous accolades throughout his career, including All-Australian selection and the Kevin Sheedy Medal.

6. Maurice Blackburn

Maurice Blackburn, born on December 9, 1880, was a noted Australian lawyer and social reformer. Although not originally from Port Campbell, he spent his childhood there. Blackburn played an influential role in promoting workers' rights, and he founded the renowned law firm Maurice Blackburn Lawyers, which continues to champion social justice causes in Australia.
